The purpose of this website is to educate, and inspire people to get out and fly RC aircraft. Just like any hobby it's easy to throw tons of money into it, however, not everyone can afford to do that. Scratch building RC planes is an alternative to buying store bought kits, which can be quite expensive. Building a plane from scratch and seeing it fly is very rewarding, especially when you know you spent a fraction of the cost of a manufactured kit. The aircraft on Mikeys RC preform very well considering the kind of materials they are made out of and how simple the designs are. We hope by exploring our website and videos that the beginner to intermiedate aircraft modeler / pilot will find it's actually fairly easy to design, build and fly their own RC planes. Who knows you might start to like these scrach built planes better than your ARF and RTF manufactured kits! This website is a way to contribute to the RC community with our own little personal twist on scratch building. We hope you enjoy it.
